About Me: Sandhya joined the lab during her Biotechnology Master’s degree at Penn and continued here full-time as a Research Specialist after graduating. She participated in the variant-to-gene mapping project for Alzheimer’s Disease, assisting in the validation of enhancer-promoter contacts and development of functional assays for the study of microglial risk genes. Broadly interested in the molecular basis of neurodegeneration, she is going on to pursue a Ph.D in neuroscience at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
