Position: PhD Student
About Me: Shannon is a PhD student in the Bioengineering department in the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS). She received her BS in Bioengineering from UCSD in 2018. She is currently investigating variant-to-gene mapping of cis regulatory regions in Alzheimer’s risk loci using single-cell RNA sequencing of pooled CRISPRa/i screens. When she’s not working, Shannon likes to cook, try to keep her plants alive, or go on short hikes.
